Four Pillars of Destiny (Saju Palja) is a fate analysis system used in East Asia for over 1000 years. It analyzes life through four pillars (year, month, day, hour) and eight characters of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. It interprets personality, aptitude, wealth, and relationships through the balance and interaction of the Five Elements (wood, fire, earth, metal, water).
1. Enter your birth date and time. (Solar/Lunar calendar selectable)
2. A Saju chart is automatically generated.
3. Check Five Elements analysis, structure, favorable elements, and major fortune periods.
Saju is based on Yin-Yang Five Elements and Heavenly Stems/Earthly Branches, while astrology is based on planetary positions. Both use birth date but have different systems.
Basic analysis is possible with 3 pillars excluding the hour pillar. However, birth time is needed for more accurate analysis.
The system was established during the Tang Dynasty (7th-10th century) and developed into its modern form during the Song Dynasty.
